Karen Kingsbury - New series

Karen Kingsbury is publishing a new series, Bailey Flanigan. The first book in the series is Leaving, available now.

Bailey Flanigan has won an audition for the ensemble of a Broadway musical in New York City. She is determined to take advantage of this opportunity, but is Bailey ready for the loneliness of the city? And what of Cody?

Cody has taken a coaching job in a small community outside Indianapolis, to be closer to his mother in jail. New friends, distance, and circumstances start to expose cracks in his relationship with Bailey.

This is the first book in the new series that features members of the popular Baxter family. The second in the series is Learning, and is available June 21, 2011.

New Jodi Picoult Novel

Sing You Home, by Jodi Picoult, is the story of Zoe Baxter. Zoe has just come out of the tragedy of spending ten years trying to get married only to have her marriage end. To survive the aftermath, Zoe throws herself into her career as a music therapist. As she works to help others an unexpected friendship slowly turns into love. Zoe starts thinking she can have a family again. To her shock and rage, some people don't want her to create a new family. This book explores what happens when the outside world calls into question family.

Town & Country Book Club is reading...

Louisburg Library's "Town & Country Book Club" will be discussing Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing on Tuesday, April 5, at 7:00 pm.
