C.J. Box

C.J. Box is an author I found through the Library's Mystery Book Club. In August, we discussed the first book in C.J. Box's award winning Joe Pickett series. Several of us in the book club really enjoyed the book and wanted to read more. I have read all of the Joe Pickett series and enjoyed it enough to recommend the series to several people including you.

Joe Pickett is a Wyoming Game Warden with a loving wife and and a growing family of daughters. He doesn't have excess emotional baggage or a dark past that torments him. Joe doesn't talk much, but works hard and tries to do the right thing. He is human and real, which means he sometimes messes up. As a game warden Joe is in a unique position because he can legitimately be involved in just about every major event or situation that involves the outdoors.

If you are interested check out C.J. Box's website and the Joe Pickett books.
