Science Fiction is based in science and technology. Fantasy is fiction that is not concerned with the rules of science in the known world, which allows for talking animals and time travel. Some times it is hard to discern if a story is science fiction or fantasy.

Another enjoyable read is the fantasy books by Eoin Colfer featuring Artemis Fowl.
